The Greater Cambridge Partnership (GCP) is responsible for transforming Greater Cambridge through a City Deal aimed at unlocking the economic growth potential of the area over the coming decades and realising tens of thousands of new jobs and homes. As the GCP’s Programme Manager, you will be responsible for the development and management of a c£700m Programme ensuring that all projects are aligned and fully coordinated so that all stakeholders including GCP partners, residents, visitors, commuters, elected Members, central Government departments and others are fully confident in the coherence and efficacy of the GCP Programme. The post holder will be required to oversee the adoption of a new Procurement Framework as well as being responsible for the delivery of major initiatives within the programme.
We need someone who is excited to embrace the opportunities that come with the unique location and context of Greater Cambridge. You will be technically and politically astute, with the ability to build consensus and credibility, based programme performance indicators and data, with civic, academic and business stakeholders, in order to deliver the programme on time and to budget.
You will have an excellent understanding of local economic growth and infrastructure project and programme delivery and the ability to absorb and critically evaluate complex information and data at pace. You will have the ability to drive the programme forward and work across the team to ensure programme milestones and targets are delivered.
