Senior Scientist - Immunoassay Bioanalysis

We are looking for a highly motivated, flexible and experienced senior scientist to join our Immunoassay department based in Fordham, Cambridgeshire.

Job purpose: 

The main focus of the team is the development and validation of qualitative/quantitative assays and subsequent sample analysis to determine concentration of drugs, peptides and proteins in biological samples.  This work is completed within a regulatory framework to deliver high quality analytical data to our clients.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities: 

  • Proven track record of carrying out method development, validation and sample analysis in a GLP/GCP accredited analytical laboratory
  • Ability to take the lead on project scheduling, resource and financial planning and reporting of data
  • Experience in either PK, Biomarker or immunogenicity studies
  • Contributing to the development and learning of other staff
  • Taking the lead in method development, assay troubleshooting and sample analysis as well as providing technical advice to colleagues 
  • As part of a team, undertake project work within the immunoassay teams to support Drug Development Solutions
  • Ability to make science-based and regulatory decisions independently

Qualifications and previous experience:

  • Degree in biological science, or relevant experience
  • Computer literate
  • Experience in a GLP/GCP accredited laboratory would be advantageous
  • Proven Evidence of maintaining customer-focused relationships
  • Previous study director and supervisory experience in a regulated bioanalytical environment
