Study Director

We are looking for a Study Director with excellent communication skills to join our Fordham site.

Job purpose:

You will act as Study Director/Principal Investigator for GLP studies and as an Analytical Project Manager for GCP studies working within a team within our LC-MS department to ensure the timely delivery of these bioanalytical projects to our customers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Building excellent personal and business relationships with our clients
  • Working to deadlines, keeping the team motivated and a proven track record of managing multiple projects with successful resolution of challenging problems to the satisfaction of the client
  • In addition you will be responsible for the financial management of your team’s projects against departmental targets and driving forward a continuous improvement culture

Education, experience and technical skills:

  • Degree in chemistry or related subject, or relevant experience
  • Ability to manage help laboratory Scientists and Senior Scientists to manage time and resources to deliver high quality bioanalytical services to agreed deadlines
  • Experience in regulated GLP / GCP environments and Study Director/Principal Investigator/Analytical Project Manager role
  • A focus on delivery of excellent customer service through good written and verbal communication skills
  • Three years or more experience working in a bioanalytical laboratory
  • Experience or knowledge of quantitative LC-MS/MS, HPLC or mass spectrometry
  • Experience in LC-MS/MS method development and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with regulatory guidelines associated with bioanalytical work
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, including preparation of reports and presentation skills
  • Good understanding of the commercial aspects of working in a CRO
  • Willing to get involved with new ideas and drive forward process improvement and best practice

The salary for this role will be reflective of the applicant's relevant skills and experience.  Our Study Director salary range is £31,50 - £46,834
