Accounting Manager

You will be responsible for accounting and reporting under both local and US GAAP for the Poland entity and located in our UK office. This includes responsibility for timely month/quarter and year end reporting, statutory and tax fillings, implementing Group financial processes and performing monthly reconciliations between local and Group reporting. The role will also be the most senior general and administrative role for the Poland office; you with therefore work alongside senior R&D colleagues to ensure the smooth day to day running of the Synaptics/DisplayLink office in Poland.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for accounting and reporting under both local and US GAAP for the Poland entity and located in our UK office. This includes responsibility for timely month/quarter and year end reporting, statutory and tax fillings, implementing Group financial processes and performing monthly reconciliations between local and Group reporting. The role will also be the most senior general and administrative role for the Poland office; you with therefore work alongside senior R&D colleagues to ensure the smooth day to day running of the Synaptics/DisplayLink office in Poland.

In addition, you will lead key projects to help us complete the integration of this Katowice office keys systems with Synaptics following on from the recent acquisition.

Example projects include:

  • Migrating banking operations
  • Conducting review for reclaim of corporate income taxes
  • Audits
  • Migrating payroll and accounting system and ERP (to Oracle)

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Poland Finance team remotely
  • Maintenance of primary and secondary ledgers under US GAAP and Local GAAP
  • Ensure Group processes consistently implemented and applied
  • Ownership of monthly close process for both ledgers including provision of timely reconciliation files
  • Ensure timely statutory and tax filings including payroll related filings
  • Oversight of Poland payroll and related tasks
  • Coordinate relations with external and internal auditors and provide the support
  • Manage employees including recruitmentperformance management and career development

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

  • Fluent in English and Polish
  • Qualified accountant with minimum 2 years’ experience in similar position
  • Solid experience in US GAAP, Local GAAP with statutory requirement including tax
  • ERP system of Oracle knowledge beneficial
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
