Opportunities for permanent roles in a range of business sectors

Application Scientist (North America)

Cresset develops software, and delivers contract research services, to aid in the design of new medicines, agrochemicals, flavors and fragrances that will have a major positive impact on human health. Over our nearly 20 years of corporate history, Cresset has remained focused on delivering innovative, accessible and reliable science to research chemists in industry and academia. We continue to develop as a world class provider of solutions for small molecule discovery.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced computational or medicinal chemist to join a global, growing team of Application Scientists. Whilst this role is anticipated to be based from the UK, it will be a a customer facing role, providing scientific support to new and existing customers in the US.

Application Scientists are central to our business. Working closely with customers, they understand the current problems in small molecule discovery across industries including pharmaceutical, agrochemical and flavor. They discuss and demonstrate how Cresset applications can be used to solve issues and gather feedback on scientific and technical improvements that we could implement. Working cross functionally with our team of developers they help to validate and apply cutting edge scientific methods.

Working alongside the commercial team, our Application Scientists communicate cutting-edge methods to customers, detailing their benefits and applicability in an honest and open manner. The successful candidate will be expected to attend and present at international conferences and travel to customers across North America regularly once the ease of restrictions are lifted and business travel resumes.
