Provide the senior leadership and vision for commercializing new products encompassing medical, scientific, technical and quality operations.

This individual will incorporate a vision aligned with the company and its strategic goals, and establish and develop an organization with high integrity and credibility to support new products as well as marketed products.

The Medical Director will function as a key member of the Senior Management Team, and will work closely with the Country Manager and other team members to create an organization with the expertise and culture to develop and achieve the Company’s goals.

  • Provide leadership for the Medical department
  • Provide clinical support for all areas of Medical Affairs
  • Work closely with Marketing to ensure seamless execution of medico marketing initiatives
  • Liaise with Regulatory Affairs and Licensing to ensure a coordinated response
  • Provide support / advice and information both internally and externally on Scientific / Medical matters related to the company's products and competitors (such as strategies, tactics, promotional activities, scientific concepts) 
  • Initiate, supervise and evaluate clinical study activities, including the preparation of protocols, case report forms and draft papers for publication
  • Guide the production of promotional and scientific materials for the company and licenses and review these materials prior to distribution and publication
  • Build and maintain contacts with medical opinion leaders and institutions
  • Maintain broad scientific and product documentation to aid in product registration
  • Lead Medical Advisors to enable peer-to-peer discussions with key stakeholders
  • Evaluate new products in-licensing from third parties in collaboration with Business Development
  • Collaborate with compliance team to meet the company standards


Educational Qualifications

  • Must be a Medical Doctor

 Relevant Experience

  • 10+ years Medical Affairs experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years’ experience effectively managing results in terms of costs, methods and/or employees

Language Requirements 

  • Fluency (written and spoken) in English is mandatory

Additional Information

The role would be based in our Modern HQ in Cambridge but we are open to flexible working arrangements/remote working (within the UK) with ad hoc office travel.
