Product Marketing Manager

As IQGeo’s Product Marketing Manager (PMM) you will have a direct impact on driving customer growth by capturing and clearly communicating the unique business and technical advantages of the IQGeo software product line. Working closely with Product Management, Sales and customers, the PMM will define the market position for our products within the context of the overall business strategy.

 

The PMM will report directly to the CMO and will be the market-focused advocate for the IQGeo products, creating the messaging and sales enablement resources necessary to effectively communicate business value to our customers and prospects. Your goal will be to create market engagement and drive sales success. Using your experience in the telecommunication and/or utility industry, you will also work closely with the marketing team to craft outbound and inbound promotional campaign materials that are targeted to address the unique needs of our target industries.

Main Duties

  • Coordinate the market launch of new and updated products
  • Promote products through marketing activities and campaigns
  • Evangelize our products to the market, press and analysts
  • Create external marketing collateral
    • Presentations, campaigns, product videos, product collateral, case studies, blogs, whitepapers, webinars, etc.
  • Create sales enablement collateral
    • Sales training materials, positioning sheets, competitive analysis, how-to-sell guides, etc.
  • Measure and optimize the buyer journey as it relates to product feature adoption and usage
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis
  • Understand and position how products are being used in specific markets
  • Create prospect personas and associated operational use-cases
  • Gather competitive information and track market trends
  • Support sales partners with structured programs and resources
  • Communicate product positioning internally to colleagues

Essential experience

  • Product marketing or product management experience with enterprise software

  • A passion for technology and the ability to translate this into compelling product stories

  • Understanding of technical documentation and proposal preparation
  • Effective communicating with global teams, juggle multiple priorities, deliver on objectives

Education and experience:

  • BA/BS or equivalent working experience
  • 3-5 years working in marketing or product management roles with enterprise software
  • 3-5 years working in the telecoms or utility industry

Desirable

  • Experience with Geospatial data, location intelligence, and/or asset management
  • Knowledge of software product planning, digital marketing and marketing automation tools
  • Knowledge or certification with Pragmatic Marketing principles
