Project Manager

Advanced Composites and Adhesives (ACA) section is seeking to appoint a project manager with experience in composites in order to support the delivery of projects that include multiple stakeholders. ACA provides research, development and consultancy services in composite processing, joining and related technologies.

Location: Cambridge/Middlesbrough

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full time

Salary: Competitive rate

Main duties and responsibilities include:

  • Management of high profile technical projects, managing change and risk in dynamic customer driver projects
  • Effective implementation of the project management process to ensure projects are delivered meeting time, cost and quality objectives to ensure customer satisfaction  
  • Facilitation of tasks to meet objectives, working across multiple business groups and sections within a matrix organisation
  • Champion the development of project management culture through utilisation of industry best practice
  • Maintain existing relationships internally and being the customer facing point of contact

The successful candidate should have excellent knowledge in project management. Success in your application requires:

  • Experience of managing projects in a technical environment 
  • Ability to assume responsibility and work with minimum supervision
  • Aptitude for building business relationships
  • Experience presenting to and managing relationships with high profile customers
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels in the business
  • Effective team working skills

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Intrinsically high level of motivation with good work ethic
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team
  • Strong documentation and writing skills

Travel:

This position will require occasional travel in the UK.
