Technical Training Advisor

Supports the delivery of BARD’s training plan to meet the technical training requirements to support competence in relation to production activities.  Also supports ad-hoc technical training requirements as required. 

Key responsibilities

1) Contributing to the delivery of effective and efficient technical training to ensure the business meets its compliance and business operating requirements in line with GMP and industry best practice, including:

  • Design and implementation, evaluation and validation of technical training solutions in relation to new equipment, product lines and/or processes.
  • Working with technical experts in their work areas to create procedures and technical training content via documentation and other media.
  • Working with Technical Training Manager to ensure technical training plans remain relevant and up to date following any new project roll out.
  • Supporting managers and employees involved in new training requirement with their relevant training plan, tracking via matrices and monitoring to completion.
  • Working with managers to review individual training needs to provide refresher training and support addressing gaps in employee competency.

2) Contributing to regulatory compliance with delivery of training at new employee induction, Modular Core and the annual assessment process ensuring the business successfully passes audits and inspections from a technical training perspective.

3)Training and developing nominated workplace trainers and instructors to ensure they are on-the-job process training experts across the production suites to support continuous development and support new starters.

4) Conducting external research to accelerate the learning and strengthen technical training provision by continually looking at best practice, new ideas and opportunities to keep ourselves current within the market and to Continuously developing as a Bard Technical Training Advisor by keeping up to date with training and pushing yourself to learn more to demonstrate the application of learning in the workplace.

5) Reporting and completing any required administrative tasks related with the delivery of a compliant training function, including Learning Management System updates, curricula updates, audit reporting, new starter/induction process.

Qualifications

Required:

Education

  • Minimum of 5 GCSE's of grade C/4 or above (or equivalent) to include Math & English

Certifications or Designations

  • Train the Trainer

Experience

  • Previous experience in the design, delivery, validation and evaluation of training programs and processes
  • Experience creating reports and updating LMS systems

 

Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent communication skills and be able to suggest appropriate learning solutions, whether these are classroom courses, webinars, videos or other media.
  • Imaginative and pro-active in developing both individual training courses and a program of courses.
  • Accomplished teaching and facilitation skills
  • Understands the finances of the technical training budget, to support best quality, value and return on investment where involved.

  • A levels

Certifications or Designations

  • Relevant training/coaching qualification

Experience

  • Previous experience in the design, delivery, validation and evaluation of training programs and processes in a manufacturing GMP environment
