At our site in Royston we are manufacturing a number of leading automated instruments and their associated consumables used in bioprocessing and pharmaceutical research. We have a well-established software team and we have an immediate position for an Agile Expert | Scrum Master.
In this role you will be supporting and educating the team in defined tools and methods, ensuring that the agreed Agile process is being followed. Your role will include providing support and advice on Agile | Scrum as well as managing a developing a team of software developers.
This position is based at our site in Royston |near Cambridge|.
What you will accomplish together with us:
Coaching and mentoring a team in agile principles
Fostering a self-organised environment within the development team
Managing a team of software developers and their day to day work allocation
Acting as the ambassador of the new culture and ways of working and keeping up to date on new trends
Removing impediments for the development teams to achieve development objectives
Ensuring that all Scrum ceremonies take place and are positive, productive, and kept within the timebox
Ensuring that goals, scope and product domain are understood by everyone on the Scrum Team as well as possible
Collaborating with other Scrum masters to share knowledge and ideas
Driving change to maximise productivity of the development team
To act as a facilitator between the development team and the product owner
What will convince us:
Ideally educated to a degree level in information technology or equivalent
First level Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I) would be desirable
A strong problem-solver, capable of ingraining a culture of continuous learning and continuous improvement
Strong working experience as a software developer
Experience in C# and WPF
Experience in implementing Agile | Scrum would be desirable
Excellent leadership skills, strong collaboration and communication skills
Knowledge of Agile | Scrum techniques is desirable
Knowledgeable in the SAFe framework is desirable
Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc. is desirable
