AV Multimedia Technician (Fixed Term)

Cambridge University's VPD Heart & Lung Research Institute (HLRI) is seeking a dedicated AV technician to support our AV in a state-of-the-art building on the biomedical campus. As part of the HLRI team within the Department of Medicine, you'll contribute to our mission of advancing global heart and lung health. With 400 staff members, our institute is committed to delivering impactful research to combat cardiovascular and respiratory diseases worldwide. The impressive sustainable building contains office space and an assortment of seminar and conference rooms equipped with an impressive AV system to support in person and hybrid meetings and events. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced staff and play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the AV systems. Your primary objective will be to support the AV needs of the Institute, from smaller remote meeting through to high profile seminars.

Your role involves effective decision-making, remaining calm under pressure and sharing knowledge and skills with various stakeholders. You'll ensure seamless delivery of core AV services, serving as the primary point of contact for problem resolution, equipment management, and stakeholder communication. Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 2 years in the first instance.
