Early Careers Manager

The role of Early Careers Manager is great opportunity to oversee and manage the Early Careers Team for Marshall within the Marshall Skills Academy.

 

The Early Careers Manager will be a subject matter expert for recruitment, training and development for entry level talent into the Marshall business. They will work collaboratively across all business units to ensure we have the right early careers programmes to ensure a strong pipeline of talent for the future. They will look to expand our apprenticeship offering as well as look at other areas such as graduate schemes, placements and work experience.

 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Taking overall responsibility for set up and delivery of early careers programmes and initiatives across Marshall
  • Leading and line managing the Early Careers Team (Early Careers Specialist and Early Careers Coordinator) as well as upskilling others across the business
  • Overseeing the design, development and delivery of early careers recruitment process (including assessment centres), onboarding and induction of all Marshall apprentices
  • Working closely with the Apprenticeship Manager to ensure delivery of programmes meets the customers’ needs and help businesses to build rotation programmes and support structure that will set apprentices up for success
  • Leading on the exploration, development and set up of early careers programmes outside of apprenticeships – graduates, year in industry, summer placements, work experience
  • Overseeing and managing our outreach strategy to drive applications to Marshall and external customer programmes – schools, colleges, community and universities
  • Working closely with marketing, HR and other internal teams on all early careers initiatives and projects

 

Apply if you have most of the following:

  • Management experience in an Early Careers Manager or Senior Recruiter/Advisor role
  • Management of projects with multiple requirements, dependencies, and stakeholders.
  • Leadership, mentoring and line management of teams
  • Experience of setting up early careers programmes as an employer – apprenticeships, placements, graduate schemes, work experience
  • Experience developing a strategy and then managing a busy events schedule for outreach activity
  • Experience managing high volume apprentice and/or graduate recruitment
  • Experience designing and delivering assessment centres
  • Experience working in or with training providers
