The University of Cambridge Estates Division is looking to recruit a Projects Compliance and Assurance Manager to join the newly established Programme Management Office in the Programme Delivery team. The team is responsible for acting as Client on behalf of the University for the procurement of all new build and refurbishment projects.

The principal role of the Compliance and Assurance Manager is to set up, create and then manage a continuous improvement regime of progressive assurance which will provide the Director of Programme Delivery and Head of PMO a regime of assurance and surety of compliance in the delivery of construction projects by all staff and advising consultants for Programme Delivery.

The role holder is required to create a process of project health checks with a process to identify lead indicators for non-compliance and corrective action.

They should meet the expectations of the Programme Delivery senior leadership team in terms of Compliance and Assurance by the creation and setting of Key Performance Indicators for compliance, lead indicators for non-conformance and the provision of clear and concise reporting with infographic management information. They will also be the teams' key point of contact for audits, providing information as required and closing out actions with corrective responses. As such, trouble shooting and problem solving are essential elements of the role.

The ideal candidate will be professionally qualified and have a relevant degree or equivalent experience. They will have previous experience of leading a Compliance and Assurance function for a significant construction project portfolio and have excellent written and spoken communication skills.
