The University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) is a globally influential institute within the University of Cambridge, working on a mission to develop leadership and solutions towards a sustainable economy.

CISL is on the verge of an exciting new chapter, which will be marked by their highly anticipated move into a visionary new headquarters in central Cambridge. The Entopia Building is a world-leading example of an ultra-sustainable retrofit, setting new standards for low energy use, carbon emissions and impact on natural resources.

Achieving multiple wellbeing and sustainable building certificates and boasting enhanced health and wellbeing benchmarking, CISL's new home represents one of the most interesting and sustainable premises in the University of Cambridge Estate.

CISL is seeking a friendly, energetic and proactive person to become part of a dynamic facilities team. The team will play a critical role in running the Entopia Building and helping CISL achieve its ambitions The successful candidate will be a motivated team player and support the Facilities Manager with the day-to-day running of the Entopia Builidng. The role holder will assist with providing a front-line support service for staff, building users and visitors across health, safety, and facility related issues.

Duties will centre around setting up and operating the building for meetings, events and day-to-day business activities. This will include managing our Events Auditorium, multiple meeting rooms, shared collaboration space and other communal facilities. The role will also span H&S, AV and facility related issues. After training the role holder will undertake routine maintenance and inspection tasks and operate as the Deputy Fire Safety Manager.

There will be a requirement to work a rota-based system to ensure a facilities presence is maintained during core business hours (08:00 to 18:00 Mon-Fri). There will also be a requirement to provide occasional out-of-hours events support when needed.
