Finance Assistant - DPMMS (Permanent)

We are seeking a full-time Finance Assistant to join our administration team at the Department of Pure Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics.

The main duties will be to assist the Departmental Finance Manager across a wide range of financial duties including processing invoices, purchase orders, and expense forms; processing of income; and petty cash arrangements. You will undertake a full range of accounts administrative duties within the Finance Office following University policy and procedures and best practices in order to achieve accurate input within specified guidelines and deadlines.

You will be educated to at least A Level standard. The role involves day-to-day contact with academic and administrative staff and students and requires the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people. The successful candidate will be highly organised and possess accurate, methodical working methods with strong IT skills. On the job training in use of the University's financial systems can be provided.
