Are you an experienced finance professional willing to lead the financial support within the Cross School Initiatives Hub? The Cross School Initiative Hub is a new team providing a range a professional services support to key academic programmes within the University's Academic Division.

In this exciting new role, you will work across the Universities key academic programmes, taking responsibility for all areas of financial administration, supporting and enabling both daily operations and longer term strategic aims with effective financial processes, whilst ensuring University financial policies and procedures are followed.

Working alongside professional staff within all programmes, you will bring together existing finance staff in the programmes and from the Cross School Initiatives Hub to build resilience and increase the financial expertise within the programmes and deliver a high quality, responsive service.

The Role

You will provide high level financial advice to aid the planning, implementation and management of finances in order to ensure financial and business objectives comply with financial regulations.

You will cover a full range of financial tasks, including AP, AR, GL management and reporting, procurement and pre and post award grant management. You will be required to develop systems and processes as necessary to ensure they remain effective and fit for purpose.

Working alongside academic and professional, you will bring together existing finance staff in both the Cross School Initiative Hub and the relevant programmes and this is an opportunity to build resilience and increase the financial expertise and create a high quality and responsive service for the University's high profile academic programmes.

You will be a key member of the new team, reporting to the Cross School Initiatives Hub Manager, and will also operationally report to the Finance Manager/Senior Financial Advisor (UAS).

Location

The University is supportive of hybrid working, where some work is undertaken on University premises and some in a remote working environment. The aim of our approach is to enable as many staff as possible to work in a hybrid way if they wish and where their role allows. The role requires some days per week onsite (exact days to be negotiated).
