Graduate Hardware Engineer

During the application process you will be able to share your interest for a specific Business Group, or "opt-in" to all Groups broadening your opportunity.

In this role you could be:

  • Helping write specifications for the next generation of Arm’s IP products, analysing trade-offs between different options via modelling in C++ or a hardware description language (HDL).
  • Developing IP in HDL, working with the rest of the design team to deliver a product with leading power efficiency and performance
  • Verifying IP to the highest quality standards using a wide range of methodologies - constrained random simulation using test-benches written in System Verilog
  • Running real applications on emulation or FPGA platforms, and using formal methods!


We're looking for individuals who are:

You need to hold, or be on track to hold a degree by the time the programme starts. This can be a Bachelor, Master or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or other relevant subjects such as Physics or Maths.

Qualities that will help your application stand out:

Whilst we will develop and enhance your experience and skills on program, there are a few things that you need to offer too, such as:

  • Have a keen curiosity for processors and digital systems
  • Understanding of computer architecture fundamentals
  • Familiarity with basic digital design concepts
  • Experience of at least one programming language
