About the Apprenticeship Programme

You will be working within the Innovation and Business Excellence (IBEX) function and with key stakeholders across AstraZeneca UK’s Biopharmaceuticals Business Unit. IBEX is the beating heart of our mission to support our customers and patients access our life-changing medicines, and this Apprentice role sits within the Commercial Capability centre of excellence. You will join a team of trusted capability experts focused on driving outstanding sales performance through the delivery of impactful capability development initiatives.

Throughout your apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity to lead on your own projects and support on others. This might include:

- Essential onboarding training for new starters

- Engaging with key business stakeholders to understand learning requirements

- Creating learning assets

- Partnering with Compliance colleagues on the approval of learning assets

- Designing and delivering capability development initiatives

- Optimising learning tools, learning technologies, and workflows

- Partnering with HR colleagues in developing a culture of learning across the business

- Horizon scanning for evolving learning trends and best practice

Training and Development

The apprenticeship combines working, earning a full-time salary, with fully funded part-time learning (on average 1 day/week). This will give you the opportunity to gain a Level 3 Learning and Development qualification through our provider Intec, with the advantage of gaining relevant work-life skills and the excitement of helping to develop new medicines whilst taking your first steps towards a rewarding career.

Skills and Capabilities

  • Enthusiastic individuals who are keen to learn and with a genuine curiosity

  • Able to act independently but also to work and contribute in a team environment

  • Good organisational skills with an excellent attention to detail

  • The ability to work on multiple tasks and understanding how to prioritise

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

  • A proactive approach to problem solving

Entry Requirements

  • 5 GCSEs Grades 9-4 including minimum 4 grade in Maths and EnglishTo have achieved or predicted to achieve a minimum of 1 A level (or equivalent) at grade C or above
