About the Role:
An excellent opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic researcher to join the Vision and Eye Research Institute (VERI). VERI is part of the new School of Medicine. In the latest Research Excellence Framework review, VERI’s research was rated as world leading.
You’ll work within a multi-disciplinary research team on one of our research projects on visual short-term memory, diabetic retinopathy or low vision. You will join a team of likeminded researchers on established projects. You will be expected to develop research studies using appropriate techniques and methods, write up and disseminate research results, and apply for further funding.
With a first degree in psychology, optometry, allied health, or public health, you will have a PhD in a relevant project. A good understanding of research methodology and statistics is vital. You will have an enthusiastic and flexible approach and good interpersonal and negotiating skills, exhibiting experience of having worked with several partners and stakeholders.
