About the Role:

We are seeking to appoint a Pro Vice-Chancellor (Education Enhancement) to work with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education to support the enhancement of education to ensure outstanding educational outcomes and the development of a culture of excellence, and to provide strategic leadership for the academic delivery of Apprenticeships.

 

You will be responsible for a range of Education Enhancement projects including Apprenticeship academic delivery management, education-related aspects of ARU Compacts and Strategic Partnerships, and TEF-related work beyond submission. As a core member of the ARU Education Leadership Team, you will advise and support the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education in the development and implementation of the ARU Education Strategy in line with the ambitions of the ARU Strategic Plan.

 

Working across our multi-campus environment, your experience of academic leadership and management will ensure that academic staff have the appropriate training to deliver excellent apprenticeship education. You will initiate programmes of activity designed to develop education leadership capability and competence across ARU in apprenticeship delivery.

 

With a PhD or Professional Doctorate and holding Senior Fellowship of the HEA, you will have an accomplished personal record of partnership working with industry, public sector, and other organisations to develop innovative educational practice. You will be a strategic thinker with a passion for innovation, and the ability to inspire and develop staff to successfully support the development and implementation of their relevant Faculty Education Plan.

 

This is a professorial appointment.  Individuals joining us from another UK university, already holding the title of Professor awarded by that university, will have that Professorship recognised, subject to ratification by the Vice Chancellor.
