The University of Cambridge is one of the world's oldest universities and leading academic centres. If you're looking for a new challenge and would like excellent benefits, extensive learning opportunities and a stimulating working environment in return for your skills and contribution, there could be a job here for you.

The University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) is a globally influential institute within the University of Cambridge, working on a mission to develop leadership and solutions towards a sustainable economy.

CISL is on the verge of an incredibly exciting new chapter, which will be marked by our highly anticipated move into a visionary new headquarters in central Cambridge. The Entopia Building is a world-leading example of an ultra-sustainable retrofit, setting new standards for low energy use, carbon emissions and impact on natural resources.

Achieving multiple wellbeing and sustainable building certificates and boasting enhanced health and wellbeing benchmarking, CISL's new home represents one of the most interesting and sustainable premises in the University of Cambridge Estate.

As we move into our new home, CISL is seeking a professional and friendly member of our Entopia Building reception team. Often acting as the first point of contact (either in person, email or by telephone) it is essential the role holder demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills, is approachable and has a calm and courteous professionalism at all times.

The role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities across several operational functions; from clerical-based tasks to assisting with H&S and facilities related duties. Our Reception team will work as an integrated part of the CISL team, so the successful candidate should be capable of proactively managing a varied workload, whilst dealing with competing demands.

The Reception team will form part of the wider Facilities team and report to the Facilities Manager for line management. The general day-to-day supervision of this post will be handled by the Senior Receptionist.

There will be a requirement to work a rota-based system to ensure the reception desk remains staffed during core business hours (08:00 ¿ 18:00 Mon-Fri). There will also be a requirement to provide occasional out-of-hours events support when needed.
