About the Role:
The Faculty of Health, Medicine & Social Care is the largest faculty in the university and constantly pursues innovative approaches to develop and deliver curricula to meet the ever-changing educational needs of the Health and Social Care workforce. Our faculty offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, from foundation degrees to doctoral study.
This part time role is either 0.4 FTE (2 roles) or 0.8 FTE (1 role), 12-month fixed term.
Anglia Ruskin University and Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System are collaborating to undertake two innovative projects. The post holder will be required to work with the academic leads for each project. The Community Academy focuses on understanding where clinical skills and proficiencies are located, and the most suitable professional roles that are needed to broaden placement opportunities. If the resulting models are successful, these can be adopted within other Integrated Care Boards and will contribute to developing the scope of the future workforce. The Innovation for Information Sharing project focuses on understanding how an app will empower patients to engage more confidently in their own care by increasing their understanding of their next care steps on discharge. Thereby improving communication for patients, relatives and carers involved at discharge and reducing unplanned admissions.
The post holder will work with the evaluation leads to explore the experiences of key stakeholders working in or affected by the two target initiatives, the impact on participants, and implications for the future workforce development. Duties will include: supporting the ethical approval and study management processes, undertaking data collection and initial analysis, and supporting the development of the study outputs, including a final report.
You will hold a degree in a relevant subject area and ideally, have some experience of research in a healthcare practice or academic environment. You will have excellent personal communication and written skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet agreed deadlines. Some travel within the MSE area will be required.
