A position exists, for a Research Assistant in the Department of Engineering, to work on a funded research project which aims to develop supply chain twinning solutions using machine learning methodologies.
The post holder will be located in West Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, UK.
The RA will work as part of a research team to conduct research towards project objectives, extend resulting software prototypes into applications or methods to be used within actual operations, as well as measuring and evaluating the effectiveness of the developed solutions with real use cases.
Applicants must have (or be close to obtaining) a Masters level degree in Engineering or Computing, or equivalent experience. The candidate must have experience on research projects and hands-on programming of data analytics/machine learning software. The candidate should be able to liaise confidently with industrial professionals and produce academic publications from the work.
Salary Ranges: Research Assistant: £29,605 - £33,966
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 36 months in the first instance.
