Research Grants Administrator (Part Time)

A position exists for a part-time Research Grants Administrator in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics to work with the Finance and Research Grant Manager to ensure the effective management of research grant activity.

The primary focus of this exciting role is to provide a comprehensive and efficient research grant support service to the Department through every stage of the grant lifestyle to ensure the effective management of research grant activity. We are seeking a highly motivated, organised individual with excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail. The role holder will also be required to liaise with various external funding bodies and the University Research Office, keeping up-to-date with changing rules and strategies. A further key responsibility of the role will be to manage information on research activity and work with colleagues and Principal Investigators to prepare documents and reports.

The successful candidate will be educated to HND, HNC level 4/5 vocational or equivalent level of practical experience.

This is a part-time role, 0.6 FTE - 22 hours per week, and the appointment will be made on a permanent basis.
