Based in the UK and able to travel to key client sites, the Sales Executive will support CCDC’s growth by developing relationships to secure new business and meet sales targets for our professional services offering. The Sales Executive manages the new business pipeline from prospecting to close and ensures an effective opportunity flow across the sales funnel. Engaging with business decision makers in pharmaceutical development the Sales Executive coordinates company resources to drive sales conversion and ongoing growth. The Sales Executive reports to the head of commercial in the UK.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Identify and contact prospective users, demonstrate the utility of our software in their cases and convert to user status
-Work with CCDC scientific and technical teams to effectively match CCDC solutions to customer problems
-Maintain contact with existing users, responding effectively to queries to promote account retention and renewal
-Negotiate single and multi-year license agreements with new and existing users
-Deliver presentations on CCDC services at prospective user sites and conferences
-Identify new markets for the CCDC’s database, software and services
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent in biological or chemical science, ideally with knowledge in pharmsci and have excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills. We are looking for someone with the ability to manage the full strategic sales process and with an understanding of the market in which the CCDC operates. Whilst much of the sales process can be managed remotely the candidate must be willing to undertake international travel.
