Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a health assessment.
The position is available from 1 January 2024 or as soon after as possible. As a member of the accounts team, you will undertake a full range of accounts duties in Payables, Receivables and General Ledger, with other duties relating to research grants and payroll, and provide a first point of enquiry for staff, students and suppliers seeking accounts-related information and guidance.
Candidates will have GCSE English and Maths, Grade 4 (Grade C) or above. AAT Intermediate, or equivalent is desirable. Candidates will also be familiar with use of MS Excel. Extensive accounts-based work experience is required, and familiarity with use of on-line financial systems (Oracle Financials desirable).
Good written and communication skills and interpersonal skills, a patient attitude, tact, and diplomacy are important, as is the ability to work as a proactive team player.
The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, whilst achieving accuracy and paying attention to detail, is imperative. You will also be required to work on your own initiative within the scope of your role.
