About the Role:
The Faculty of Health, Education, Medicine and Social Care offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including doctoral level studies. Our provision includes: BSc Adult Nursing, DipHE Nursing Associate, and RN Apprenticeship. We also offer post registration / CPD courses and modules, including Advanced Clinical Practice, Clinical Assessment skills and Non-medical prescribing. Our dynamic approach ensures that our students receive a high quality, research-informed, educational experience. We have internationally excellent research in social work and social policy, and have a number of world-leading nursing and healthcare researchers in our Faculty.
You’ll act as a leading professional/practitioner in the field, maintaining currency through active links with local NHS Trusts and external professional bodies. You’ll also lead or make a significant contribution to planning and implementation of strategic enhancement in areas such as student recruitment, marketing, quality assurance and student retention. You’ll teach and facilitate learning related to core capabilities for advanced clinical practitioners: Advanced leadership, Management, Research and Education.
With a degree or relevant professional qualification, extensive post qualification CPD and/or a higher degree and a professional body registration related to healthcare (Nursing, Allied Healthcare / Medicine), you'll have relevant and extensive commercial and/or professional experience and a specialist/expert practice or clinical experience. With excellent written and oral communication skills and a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office, you’ll have an enthusiastic and flexible approach with good interpersonal and negotiating skills.
