Playing a key part in our drive to bring environmental and social prosperity to the region we serve through our commitment to Love Every Drop are the Integrated Maintenance and Repair Water Recycling Alliance (IMR WRA) who are key to delivering sustainable solutions.

Comprising of Anglian Water, Clancy, Claret Civil Engineering, Public Sewer Services and Danaher & Walsh, the IMR WRA manages planned and emergency sewer, rising mains and SMART technology installation as well as maintenance and repair across the region.

To help us deliver projects in a smooth and efficient fashion, we are looking for a number of Project Engineers to join the team!

What will you be doing as our Senior Planner

Your role in the IMR Water Recycling Alliance involves the delivery of a crucial business service. You will be involved in the efficient planning and execution of both scheduled and unplanned work for AW and IMR Water Recycling Partner resources, to meet key business targets related to service, serviceability, quality, and risk.

As a Senior Planner, you will be responsible for developing and implementing efficient inday schedules and plans that ensure optimal use of resources while meeting our business objectives and emergencies. You will collaborate closely with various teams to gather and analyse data, forecast demand, and create schedules that balance workload, capacity, and service levels.

Key responsibilities:

Develop work schedules and workloads management for Day 0 – Day 14 to:

  • Monitor daily Planning Team performance and meet internal levels of service and service level agreements.

  • Deliver optimised schedules through the proactive monitoring of work schedules, workloads and business priorities.

  • Liaise with Insight and undertake analysis on performance vs. output

  • Assure that the planning and scheduling processes, guidance and escalations processes are followed correctly, documented and coached out

  • Maximise the operational team’s efficiency by reducing team downtime (travel and waiting) through efficient Gantt management, utilising mapping tools where applicable.

  • Manage the process of regional planning teams working together (Planning, scheduling, Streetworks, customer & forecasting)

  • Appropriate professional qualification or membership in a professional body

  • Frontline planning & scheduling

  • Experienced within a fast-moving operational planning team

  • Experience in assessing risk and responding appropriately

  • Good Communication & highly developed analytical skills

  • Ability to organise operational teams plan and schedule

  • Show real enthusiasm for my role and stay positive even when things change.

  • Respond energetically and positively to customer needs.

  • Share my knowledge, skills and information with others.
