Accountabilities:
The successful candidate will participate in analytical support of seasonal vaccine strain development activities. In so doing they will take ownership of continuous improvements and proactively implement changes to improve the team’s performance. The successful candidate will contribute towards one or more development projects, generating high quality, accurate data to support achieving Flu-BPD’s goals. The job holder will have substantial experience in analytical methods and a track record in implementing continuous improvements. In addition, the job holder will have experience in analytical development, method validation and technology transfer of virology/immunology and/or tissue culture methods. This is an exciting and challenging role within a commercial setting. The role holder must be prepared to deliver against tight deadlines.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and proven experience within the subject area
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- Understanding of current principles and concepts in own area of work
- Understanding of regulations and relevant compliance systems related to own area of work.
- General understanding of other Discovery / R&D fields and their role in achieving the objectives of research area
- Understanding of assay development
- Proven track record in continuous assay and/or process improvements
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Specialist knowledge in a specific area related to biology
- Specialist knowledge in technical transfers
- Understanding of assay automation
- Experience in creation and editing of SOPs
