About the role:
You will design, develop and implement an innovative supply chain sustainability toolkit and sustainable packaging solutions in line with Hexcel customer requirements. The position will develop a live dashboard to enhance capability to monitor, measure and reduce environmental impacts and facilitate future decision making within Hexcel and across the supply chain.
The role will be critical in managing data collection and governance processes of environmental sustainability reporting metrics, ensuring high reporting capabilities to different levels of company leadership, and identifying/rolling out sustainable approaches across downstream supply chain.
You will work with, and be supported by, a senior team within Hexcel and a specialist academic team from ARU’s Faculty of Business and Law - including a dedicated supervisor in both organisations. Whilst you will be employed by ARU for the duration of the fixed term contract, you’ll be based full-time at the company's premises in Duxford, Cambridgeshire.
A generous, dedicated training budget will be allocated to support your personal, professional and technical development throughout the project.
You will have a degree in Environmental Management, Supply Chain or Computer Science. Data management and reporting experience, strong data analytics, Power BI or SQL experience and knowledge of sustainable supply chain management is essential for this role. You will also have knowledge of logistics, warehousing and packaging, environmental metrics and lifecycle assessment of environmental impacts. Ideally, you’ll be passionate about environmental protection and decarbonisation.
