As a Tax Trainee, your responsibilities will include:
- Assist in preparing financial statements by inputting client data, reconciling accounts, and compiling supporting documents.
- Process VAT reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and tax computations for both personal and corporate tax.
- Support the audit team with systems testing, balance sheet reviews, and stock takes.
- File self-assessment tax returns, VAT returns, and company annual returns online.
- Maintain accurate financial records using in-house accounting software.
What they are looking for:
- An indivdual with a keen and genuine interest in a future career within accountancy.
- Grade 5 upwards in English/ Maths.
- Good A-Level results in a related subjects to accountancy e.g., business, economics, maths.
- Strong numerical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- IT knowledge (advantageous).
