Action Learning Facilitator Training
What is Action Learning?
Founded in the mid 1940’s by Professor Reg Revans, Action Learning is about transforming both the individual and the organisation. It brings together small groups of people over an agreed number of meetings and in a confidential and supportive space, to work on real-life, important, and organisational-based challenges. The group is guided and supported by a trained and skilled facilitator.
Action learning can support a variety of organisational initiatives and groups including management development programmes, new manager networks, peer groups, and teams.
Who is this workshop for?
Experienced facilitators looking to expand their skills into this area.
What will participants learn?
- how to facilitate an action learning set meeting
- how to be supportively and appropriately challenging in this context
- what might crop up, and how to manage what crops up within this context
- what it feels like to be an action learning set member
1 Day – 9.30am – 4.30pm
Participants are encouraged to come to the session with a current workplace challenge they would be prepared to share with the group. This will provide the essential practice ground required to give them the confidence to run an action learning set meeting back in their work place.
