Acteon Communication - with colleagues, family and friends - chose an innovative approach to raise money for Cambridge children and young people in need - to dance for the equivalent of 5 days.
Cambridge based Acteon Communication and Learning gathered work colleagues, family and friends to join them in their innovative fundraising event: The Dance a Thon on behalf of Cambridge Children's Charity Week (CCCW). It took place on 21 June in central Cambridge and the dancing was equivalent to 5 days of continuous effort.
The challenge commenced at 7am and took a variety of different styles: breakdancing, freestyle, Zumba and salsa. The team managed to dance for a total of 126 hours with two enthusiasts dancing non-stop from 7am to 10pm, accumulating more than 200,000 steps!
That's Cambridge TV sent reporter, Ben Baldwin to capture the event on camera which gives you a feel for the occasion and some of the other events that took place for CCCW.
