Competition winner gets to see Marshall's Christmas tree

17-12-2013

Each year Marshall of Cambridge invites children from Teversham Church of England Primary School to come to the company to help switch on the Christmas tree lights. In association with this, the company runs a competition for the best Christmas picture and the winner is invited to switch on the Christmas tree lights.

Unfortunately, this year, the winner, Eva Harben, was unwell and was not able to be present for the switch-on of the lights, so Sir Michael Marshall invited her to join him, together with the runner-up winners, to look at the Christmas tree.

Eva, aged 6, is pictured with Sir Michael and Selim Ozkurtulus, James Godin and Kimberley Rose Wallace around the Christmas Tree.

Sir Michael Marshall said:  ‘We have enjoyed a very happy relationship with Teversham Church of England Primary School for very many years and it is a great joy to us that they help us with our Christmas Tree.  It was a great shame that Eva missed the switching on of the lights, but I was very pleased that she could come and have a close look at the tree."
