Marshall Aviation Services affirms its paint capabilities

09-04-2014

Marshall Aviation Services, part of the Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group, has been awarded a preferred supplier agreement with Isle of Wight based manufacturer, Britten-Norman to undertake exterior paint work on up to 15 of its Islander and Defender aircraft.

The year-long agreement which was ratified at the end of 2013 represents an important and substantial win for Marshall Aviation Services who will paint both new factory-fitted and refurbished aircraft at its Broughton, North Wales facility. According to the UK’s sole remaining privately owned civil aircraft manufacturer, it selected Marshall Aviation Services following the company’s outstanding paint work on a Britten-Norman Islander in August. Work on the first newly painted Islander has recently been completed.

Andrew Tarry, Paint and Interior Sales Manager, Marshall Aviation Services, comments: “We are delighted that a company with such heritage and standing as Britten-Norman has selected Marshall Aviation Services as its preferred supplier. Our ability to win such a contract is testament to our skill and capabilities in exterior paint following considerable investment in the facility.”

Marshall Aviation Services offers a state-of-the-art twin bay paint facility and paint design centre capable of handling three super midsize jets at any one time. The facility can support a vast range of aircraft types up to and including the Falcon 2000. The paint facility is complemented by a design studio offering a full upholstery and trim service for seats, divans and other interior needs, all of which is supported by European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Part 21 Design Organisation Approval status. In addition to interior and exterior refurbishment, the Broughton facility also specialises in MRO, aerostructures, avionics, design engineering and modifications.
