The Cycle Challenge is back to warm-up winter!

14-01-2015

The Winter Warm-up Cycle Challenge is a free web-based competition organised by Travel for Cambridgeshire to see which Cambridgeshire businesses can get the most people cycling over the two week Challenge period from Saturday 17th January – Saturday 31st January. Please pass the word on to all members of your staff so they can sign up!

This challenge will be more of a test than the previous Cambridgeshire Cycle Challenge, but we think you are up to the task!

There will be a number of prizes up for grabs to help you in the darker, colder weather including:

  • Cycling Jackets
  • Cycling Gloves
  • Cycling Light Sets
  • The Chocolate Brownie Mountains will be back for the company prizes as per September!

The New Year is traditionally a time for starting new habits and promises to make more of the year ahead. This Challenge is a great opportunity to start the year by shedding the festive flab and making good on your resolutions to exercise more!

So how do you get involved? If you took part last September you do not need to do anything except log your rides when the time comes, if you are new to the cycle challenge then simply go to https://cambscyclechallenge.pleasecycle.com/ to register yourself and your company.

Please note that due to the nature of how the Cycle Challenge is funded, promotion of the Challenge is aimed at Cambridgeshire employers and their staff. If you feel you are not equipped for cycling in the winter, remember to make use of TfC’s cycling shop discounts to keep you warm and on your wheels!
