Granta Park shortlisted for office award


The Riverside Development at Granta Park, the science park in south Cambridge, has been shortlisted for the Midlands and East Anglia category of the BCO (British Council for Offices) Awards 2010.

The awards look for the very best in excellent office space, including design, quality of build, sustainability, enterprise and innovation, local context and impact, effectiveness as a workplace and whether it lifts the spirits.

Says Granta Park’s Marketing & Asset Manager Roz Bird: “The Riverside buildings provide flexible office and laboratory accommodation for the growing high-tech community. They have been designed to ensure energy efficiency and have a good EPC rating. The buildings benefit from superb views across the Cambridgeshire countryside and staff working in the buildings have access to all of Granta Park’s amenities including the commuter bus for the city centre, a gym, a nursery and the café.

"We also encourage networking and collaboration by bring the community together at our free meeting facility and we arrange more sociable initiatives such as the Granta Park choir.”

The winner will be announced at a lunch at Birmingham Town Hall on 13 May.
