Ubisense named Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA winner for a third year

Ubisense, the world Leader in Precise Real-Time Location Systems has achieved a place in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA 2010 for the third successive year.

The Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA ranks the fastest growing companies from 24 countries.  Growth figures of 1,730 percent over a five year period, has added a third Deloitte Technology Fast 500 award to the impressive line-up of accolades secured by Ubisense over the last year.

Following a strong year in 2009, when the company grew at over 50%, 2010 has been another year of expansion, winning additional contracts from customers such as Boeing, BMW, General Motors, US DOD and the first installation for the largest American passenger rail company.

CEO Richard Green has recently been named as Ernst and Young Science and Technology Entrepreneur of the Year, and earlier this week Ubisense announced the completion of fundraising, successfully securing £5 million from existing shareholders and City investors, which will allow the organisation to support rapid expansion plans for 2011 and beyond.

"We are delighted to have been included in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA consecutively," said CEO Richard Green, "Ubisense group sales are growing at more than 50% a year.  We have even bigger plans for 2011, as we expand our market presence in manufacturing based economies, and our recent successful fundraising round will help us to realise these."
