Turnstone Estates has submitted a detailed planning application to Elmbridge Borough Council for a new residential development in Mayfield Road, Walton on Thames, Surrey.
Planning application for residential development
The proposed redevelopment on the one acre (0.4 hectare) site will replace the existing 1970's built Nelson House office building. Two new residential buildings will provide a total of 60 one or two bedroom apartments over six levels, with one car parking space for every apartment. The submission has been prepared following extensive research and public consultation.
Nick Scott of Turnstone Estates commented: 'Nelson House has been vacant for the past two years, attracting vandalism and creating an eye sore to the community. We propose to replace it with high quality buildings sympathetically designed to complement the surrounding residential area, and set in a sympathetic landscaped setting.
The location is fantastic. A two minute walk to Walton on Thames train station puts you within half an hour of central London.'
Forty per cent of the apartments will be affordable housing, including both social rented and key worker accommodation; the remaining apartments will be available for purchase.
Established in 1989, Turnstone is one of the most active and dynamic property companies in the south east of England.
