The Cambridge Leisure Development at the old Cattle Market Site is on programme, and developers Turnstone Estates anticipate full tenant trading by the beginning of June 2003.
Cambridge leisure set for May opening
Principal anchor, Cineworld Cinema (owned and operated by Cine UK Ltd), will open to the public on the 28th May, ready for the release of the latest Harry Potter film - 'The Prisoner of Azkaban' the following week.
Turnstone has also handed over units to LA Fitness, Megabowl and Travelodge.
Interest in the remaining units has increased significantly now that prospective tenants can view the site in progress, and the list of top operators wanting to be involved in what is fast becoming the biggest multi functional leisure complex in the region, is growing.
'We have seen a major increase in interest', said Will Mooney, representing Turnstone Estates. 'The project is developing well, and we are receiving more firm enquiries than ever. There are very few units still in negotiation but each has several interested parties vying for occupation.
