02-12-2009

Cordic Ltd, the leading provider of software and system solutions for the taxi, private hire and courier industries has announced the release of the 2010 version of its cPAQ Taxi Booking and Despatch System.

cPAQ 2010 is the result of a combined year-long effort by Cordic research and development team working alongside customers to provide even more power and innovation to end users of the Cordic system.

This release includes over 80 new customer driven innovative features. Some of the key features of the new 2010 version include an Advanced Text Marketing Tool, PDA automatic fare and waiting time calculations and passengers can now track their car on a map on their mobile phone.

“We recognise that in today’s difficult business environment, our customers’ focus on competition is stronger than ever,” said Fara Arani, Cordic Commercial Director. “As a result, the enhancements in 2010 version of cPAQ are focused on three areas – individual productivity for taking bookings faster by operators, new booking facilities such as Web, Text, IVR, Mobile booker and Kiosk and finally enhancing customer service by providing accurate automatic waiting time and Fare calculations. In addition, real-time vehicle tracking on their mobile phone will be very popular with passengers. All of these features will help our customers meet their business objectives and stay ahead of their competitors”

Cordic customers who have a maintenance contract benefit from a free annual upgrade of the cPAQ software at no extra charge. Cordic’s booking and despatch software is highly configurable to suit each customer’s needs and products can be easily added as their company grows. The upgrade process causes minimal disruption to the taxi office as deployment of the new version is rapid using an automatic on-air download to all PDAs with no disruption to drivers.
