A new horizon for Cambridge's event people

On Tuesday evening Event Horizon, a brand new Event Meetup, was born.

Directors of Cambridge-based event agency The Crane Event, along with Cambridge Marketing Meetup Founder Joe Glover, welcomed a handful of invited close and respected peers for a beta version of the event at Lockhouse Games on Regent Street.

The evening started off with a little networking, followed by a talk from Alessandra Caggiano, Artistic Director of e-Luminate, Cambridge. She delivered a humorous and refreshingly honest case study on the city's fascinating festival. To finish the evening, willing souls went into the Escape Rooms to sample what treats Lockhouse Games had to offer.

With comments such as "You don't come out of many networking events being able to say you stopped a rocket hitting the earth with 29 seconds to spare!" shared on social media following the event, it was deemed a great success.

With the first official event being planned for February, Event Horizon is now a fully-fledged meetup group welcoming anyone interested in events with open arms.
