The Greater Cambridge Partnership’s (GCP's) meetings for November and December have been postponed following the announcement of a General Election on 12 December.
GCP meetings postponed following general election announcement
Local authorities will soon enter a pre-election period, during which Government advice is that authorities must not take decisions that may have significant effects, report the results of consultations, or are controversial.
Therefore, the Joint Assembly and Executive Board meetings that were due to take place in November and December have been cancelled and all items on the agendas will be rescheduled for meetings in the New Year.
The GCP will advertise the dates for those rearranged meetings when they are confirmed.
The Greater Cambridge Partnership is the local delivery body for a City Deal with central Government, bringing powers and investment, worth up to £1 billion over 15 years, to vital improvements in infrastructure, supporting and accelerating the creation of 44,000 new jobs, 33,500 new homes and 420 additional apprenticeships.
