Explore Indie Cambridge - Go Glass Design
Family-run Go Glass offers the perfect mix of traditional values and constant creativity to manufacture and supply its innovative range of glass and mirrors around the UK.
The company vision is to bring the versatility and ethereal beauty of glass into customers’ lives – both at home and at work. They do this with a unique range of products which include glass doors, showers, stairs and floors, splashbacks and decorative glass including sandblasted, etched and coloured.
Manufacturing takes place onsite at the open-plan working glass design studio on Cherry Hinton Road, where customers are encouraged to visit and see the glass designers at work.
During the pandemic, the team has stayed busy. They say: "The factory is open and you can order all glass and mirror products on a 'click and collect' basis from our online shop for collection from our COVID safe dedicated collection area. You can design your own glass door or glass shower for an immediate quotation on our website. Whilst the design studio is currently closed for visitors, our sales and design teams now have online appointments using Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet - give us a call or email to arrange [details below]."
The company has added glass protection screens to its glass design range and it has spent the past few months helping fellow small businesses get back up and running. With a wealth of experience in the glass trade, the friendly Go Glass Design team will assist with any technical and specification advice.
With a full design service including ‘Design your own’, you can see why the brother and sister team of Clive Sparkes and Tracy Saunders – the driving force behind the business - just last week won Independent Retailer of the Year (jointly with Campkins), at the Cambridgeshire Live Business Awards.
Anne Beamish, co-founder and editor of Indie Cambridge, says: "They're not only a great asset to the local business community, but also to the wider community in Cambridge and we couldn't be more proud of them."
