BSJP becomes first Polish law firm to announce adoption of Luminance’s AI
1 June 2021 - One of Poland’s leading business law firms, Brockhuis Jurczak Prusak Sroka Nilsson Sp. k. (‘BSJP’), has become the first firm in the country to integrate Luminance’s market-leading AI into their legal practice.
BSJP, which has more than 70 attorneys located across four offices in Poland, have already used Luminance’s award-winning technology to transform its real estate work. Luminance’s AI uses a powerful blend of supervised and unsupervised machine learning, allowing the technology to instantly read and form an understanding of the entire dataset, immediately surfacing key clauses such as Lease Term and Service Charge as well as datapoints such as currencies, countries and languages.
Luminance’s ability to cluster conceptually similar documentation was also game-changing for BSJP, helping the team to gain a rapid and thorough understanding of which leases followed a similar template and which leases deviated from the standard - a feat that would have been impossible with manual review methods alone. Using Luminance, BSJP have seen their review time half, thus freeing up resources for legal analysis.
“Luminance’s technology is completely transforming the way lawyers go about their everyday work and is an absolute necessity for the modern day practitioner,” said Maciej Kuropatwinski, Partner at BSJP. “By providing us with an all-encompassing insight into the dataset, Luminance helped us to quickly understand which leases required attention. Luminance is also the only tool intuitive and powerful enough to work across Polish and German documentation, and we are now looking to expand our usage of the tool across our commercial and corporate functions to further improve efficiency of our work.”
Luminance’s CEO, Eleanor Weaver, adds: “We are incredibly excited to announce our first Polish customer. Using Luminance, BSJP will be able to analyse the contents of their documents with greater depth and rigour than ever before, which will ultimately result in huge time and cost savings for their clients.”
Luminance is now used by over 300 law firms and organisations in over 55 countries. This includes over one-fifth of the ‘Global Top 100’ law firms such as Bird & Bird and Slaughter & May and all of the ‘Big Four’ accountancy firms.
