Birketts has been shortlisted in the ‘Law Firm of the Year: The Independents – Regional’ category at this year’s The Lawyer Awards, just two years after winning this significant and much coveted industry title for the first time.
Birketts shortlisted for prominent legal industry award for second time
With winners to be announced online in a digital Awards Ceremony on Tuesday 2 November, The Lawyer Awards recognise excellence in the profession across private practice, the public sector, commerce and industry, as well as the Bar. The awards highlight innovation, technical brilliance and best practice among teams and individuals in the legal sector.
Judged by a panel of over 130 experts drawn from across the Bar, private practice and in-house sectors, Birketts is once again in great company, nominated alongside some of the UK’s best firms.
Jonathan Agar, Chief Executive Officer at Birketts, commented: “It is testament to the ongoing hard work of our colleagues across the firm that Birketts has again been tipped to win one of the most high profile awards in the industry - especially in light of the challenges presented by the pandemic. Since our merger with boutique insurance firm EC3 Legal early last year, we have focused on nurturing new and existing talent and as a result we have seen impressive growth which has helped to cement our position as a leading player in the market.”
James Austin, Senior Partner, added: "The shortlist is, as always, incredibly competitive and to find ourselves alongside so many legal heavyweights, demonstrates the strength in depth of skill across Birketts. To be nominated once again speaks to the firm’s impressive client service and great people.”
