In her regular series for Cambridge Network members - now in its 15th year - software training expert Karen Roem offers handy tips to help you 'Tame your computer'. This week she describes how to add an animated GIF or meme to a slide (Microsoft PowerPoint).
Tame your computer - add a lively welcome
The other day I got a question from one of my lovely delegates, Hilary, who wrote “How do I add a gif to a PowerPoint slide? I couldn’t find it in your Tips archive…”
I liked her idea to use it as one of her welcome slides. I’ve personally used animated gifs to announce coffee breaks.
So whether you like them or not, you can find lots of these from within PowerPoint.
In the Insert tab, click Pictures followed by Online Pictures.
Type meme or animated gif and press ENTER. You can also type some additional terms to narrow down the results.
3. Click the picture(s) or meme(s) you want to insert and click the Insert button.
4. Change the layout as normal or click on Design Ideas for inspiration.
