Airport Lynx acquires Myhill’s Minibuses

Airport Lynx, national Chauffeur Company of the Year for 2016/17, has bought Myhill’s Minibuses as part of its continuing expansion in the ground transportation market.

A wheely good acquisition makes for an excellent start to 2017 for Airport Lynx….

 Myhill’s has been established in Cambridge since 1990, as a specialist in the provision of Mini Coaches for both profit and not for profit organisations. With customer service at the forefront of their offering, the Myhills fleet and business fits well with Airport Lynx.

Managing Director Steve Russell says: “We are delighted to bring Myhill’s Minibuses into the Airport Lynx fold. Their history of excellence and reputation for consistently delivering makes it a natural addition to our offering. In January 2016 we added to our own Executive Mini Coach fleet and it has quickly become utilised all year round – by adding in the Myhill’s minibus this means we will be even more able to serve our customers, which is great news all round.”

Myhill’s Minibuses will run from the same Cottenham based operations centre which houses Airport Lynx and their own in house garage – Lynx Autocare. Branding and livery will remain the same in the short term, before a broader review as the year progresses. Steve Russell details the thinking behind the latest acquisition:

“Our approach to business growth has always been to listen to our customers and meet their needs. We noticed 18 months ago, that although we had our own minibuses, customers consider us to be a chauffeur car provider. We’ve known Myhills for years – they are the recognised name for minibuses in Cambridge. We found that just like Airport Lynx, Myhills are pioneering specialists in their field as well – making them a perfect fit with us. We’ll definitely be keeping the Myhills branding for the foreseeable future and look forward to updating our customers in both companies on the work that the other does.”

Now in its tenth year, Airport Lynx provides chauffeur services to individuals and groups as they travel. Airport Lynx serves a mixture of Corporate, Education and Retail customers who want to ensure that their staff travel in safe, reliable and clean cars with drivers who are not only dressed appropriately but moreover, are qualified and experienced in their work.

Airport Lynx has a fleet of 30 cars including Executive Saloons, People Carriers, Large MPVs and 12 and 16 seater minibuses. Together, they are used to undertake both short and long distance journeys, including driving internationally when needed. Our office team utilise the most advanced booking system available in the UK and are available from 8.30am to 10pm daily.
