Airport Lynx wins Gold at National Chauffeur Awards

Living up to the Gold in their logo, Cambridge chauffeur company Airport Lynx has won a brace of prestigious national awards for their work in the private hire and chauffeur industry. The company won Gold in the Chauffeur Company (11-30 vehicles) and Bronze in the Marketing categories of the National Chauffeur Awards, following up on Silver and Bronze awards in previous years.

 

Steve Russell, Managing Director of Airport Lynx said: “Honestly, I’m stunned. This really is the icing on the cake. I’m so pleased that we were able to share it with so many members of the team – we had a great night. In fact, we’ve had an amazing tenth anniversary year – new corporate customers, new personal customers, new contracts and of course, growth from our existing customers as they themselves have grown. I didn’t think 2016 could get any better – and it just did!

"With our team as a whole now heading for 50, I think it’s really important that we reflect that everything we do is truly a team effort. From the mechanics who service our cars every six weeks to the team who answer the phones at 9.45pm on a Saturday night through to volunteers for community events – everyone really does play a vital role in making us greater than the sum of our parts.”
 
Professional Driver magazine editor Mark Bursa said: “Airport Lynx drew praise for its focused, consistent service – their growth and achievements throughout 2016 is second to none. This is a growing business with high levels of customer satisfaction. They combine service, reliability and strong business focus with great branding and even took the innovative step of adding a new service in to help nervous passengers at the airports. This is a much deserved win.”
 
The Marketing Award was also an achievement, said Mark Bursa: “A major part of Airport Lynx’s success is down to how it communicates with its customers. These include newsletters, sponsorships and some very personal touches, including bespoke events for customers and January gifts for top clients. We even heard about the continuing expansion of the strawberries and cream project for loyal customers during Wimbledon fortnight!”
 
Professional Driver magazine’s QSi Awards ceremony was a night to remember for the very best of the best of Britain’s chauffeur and private hire operators. The awards, open to every chauffeur and private hire company in the UK, are designed to recognise operators and individuals that demonstrate excellent standards of Quality, Service and Innovation.
 
The awards are now in their fourth year with applications more than doubling for 2016. They have quickly become the highlight in the chauffeuring calendar. Gold, Silver and Bronze awards were presented in 10 categories. It was a thrilling evening, held at the Effingham Park Hotel, near Gatwick Airport.

Mark Bursa continued:  “We were overwhelmed by the quality of the entries, and it was a very tough job to pick our winners. Only very good operators made the short list, so we can be sure our Gold, Silver and Bronze winners are among the very best operators in Britain.”
