Anglia Ruskin chief makes list of top 100 influencers
Anglia Ruskin University’s new Chief Operating Officer, James Rolfe, is named as a ‘face of a vibrant economy’.
James Rolfe has been named in a list of the 100 Faces of a Vibrant Economy by accounting and advisory firm Grant Thornton, for his commercialism and innovation while in his previous role as Executive Director of Resources at Enfield Council.
James is credited with driving entrepreneurial activity and innovation among the council’s trading entities and in his role as Managing Director of Housing Gateway Ltd, the council’s housing company.
James, who is originally from Suffolk, joined Anglia Ruskin in October and has taken responsibility for professional services and corporate development.
The 100 Faces of a Vibrant Economy were announced yesterday (Tuesday 13 November) and include people from across the nation representing a variety of different sectors and industries, united in their commitment to developing a vibrant economy in the UK.
James said: “It is always nice to receive recognition such as this, on behalf of the team I worked with. Our work at Enfield was very much a team effort and I am very proud of what was achieved. The work was creative, innovative, and in many cases, ground-breaking. To be included in this list as a result of that work is a great honour.
“Now I have joined a new team here at Anglia Ruskin and am very much enjoying the new challenge of developing still further the culture of innovation and entrepreneurial spirit that we have here in abundance. There are exciting times ahead, and I am very much looking forward to being part of that.”
Anglia Ruskin University is the university of choice for students and employers in the East of England and operates principally from campuses in Cambridge and Chelmsford
